The 304 Stainless Steel 1/4" Barb Plug is a essential component for decommissioning or sealing unused beverage or gas lines. Unlike plastic plugs that can crack or harbor bacteria, this 304SS fitting provides a 100% flavor-neutral seal and is highly resistant to commercial cleaning chemicals. Designed with high-friction serrated barbs, it ensures a pressure-tight closure for 3/16" or 1/4" ID lines, preventing leaks and maintaining system pressure in complex draught manifolds.
Technician's Installation Tip: When plugging a pressurized line, ensures the tubing is cut perfectly square. Soak the end of the line in hot water for 30 seconds to soften the vinyl or poly before pushing the plug onto the barb. Always secure the connection with an Oetiker stepless clamp for a permanent, sanitary seal that won't blow off under high CO2 pressures.
