The Taprite 1522 Ice Chest Lid is an OEM replacement part for 1522 series jockey boxes and portable draft coolers. This insulated lid is designed to retain cold temperatures in the ice chest while providing a secure mounting point for the internal cold plate. Constructed from high-impact, moisture-resistant plastic, it ensures a tight seal to prevent ice from melting prematurely, keeping your draft beverages cold all day at outdoor events and festivals.
Technician's Note: When installing the lid, check the hinge alignment and the condition of the lid gasket. A poor seal allows warm air to enter the chest, which can cause the cold plate to "sweat" and decrease cooling efficiency. Clean the lid surface with a mild sanitizer to prevent mold growth in the insulation gap.
