The 20" Heavy-Duty Sight Gauge provides a reliable, high-visibility solution for monitoring liquid levels in brewing kettles and fermenters. This kit includes a borosilicate glass tube protected by a rugged stainless steel shield to prevent accidental breakage in a busy brewery. Featuring a 1/2" NPT connection, it is designed to be installed via a bulkhead or directly into a threaded port. It is an essential tool for achieving consistent batch volumes and hitting target gravities.
Installation Tip: Use a step-drill bit to create a clean 7/8" hole if using a weldless bulkhead. Always use high-temperature food-grade silicone washers to ensure a liquid-tight seal. For the most accurate volume tracking, calibrate your kettle by adding 1 gallon of water at a time and marking the stainless steel shield with a permanent marker or etcher.
