Rahr Pale Ale 2-Row is a high-quality base malt kilned slightly higher than standard Brewers 2-Row. This process results in a deeper golden color and a more pronounced malty, biscuit-like flavor profile while maintaining high enzymatic power. It is the ideal foundation for classic American Pale Ales and West Coast IPAs, providing a rich malt backbone that stands up to aggressive hop additions.
Brewery Mash Tip: Use this as 100% of your grist for any American style where you want a clean but noticeable malt character. It provides excellent extract efficiency and helps build a stable foam head. Mash at 150-152°F (65-66°C) for a well-attenuated, crisp finish.
