Briess CBW® Pilsen Light is a 100% pure malt extract produced from a blend of Base Malt and Carapils® Malt. This 55 lb bulk bag is the most economical choice for professional breweries and high-volume homebrewers. It provides a very clean, crisp wort with a remarkably pale color of just 2 SRM (Lovibond). It is the definitive choice for brewing Pilsners, Light Lagers, and Golden Ales, offering excellent fermentability and a delicate malt flavor. As a dry malt extract, it provides a consistent, fresh wort character with every batch.

Brewery Tip: Pilsen Light DME is ideal for creating high-gravity starters or for boosting the gravity of an all-grain batch without darkening the color. To prevents clumping and "DME clouds," whisk the extract into warm strike water before bringing the kettle to a boil. Store the bulk bag in a cool, dry place and ensure it is tightly sealed to prevents it from hardening due to moisture absorption.
