LalBrew® Farmhouse is a revolutionary, non-STA1 hybrid yeast strain specifically selected for producing authentic Saison-style beers without the risk of cross-contamination. This 11g sachet is ideal for 5-6 gallon batches. It provides the characteristic pepper and spice notes of a traditional Saison but with a reliable, predictable fermentation profile. Because it is non-diastatic (non-STA1), you can safely use it in your brewery without the worry of over-attenuation in subsequent batches or "bottle bombs" in your cellar.

Brewery Tip: Farmhouse performs best at temperatures between 68°F and 86°F. To maximize the spicy/phenolic character, ferment at the higher end of the range. For a cleaner, more fruit-forward profile, aim for 70-72°F. Rehydrating in sterile water at 85°F for 15 minutes ensures the highest viable cell count for a vigorous start. This strain provides a crisp finish and highlights both malt and hop aromatics beautifully.
