Discover superior fermentation control with the IceMaster Max 2, a meticulously engineered cooling solution designed specifically for small-scale brewing endeavors. This compact, yet potent unit boasts dual built-in submersible pumps, each armed with an independent digital temperature controller, ready to work in harmony with any vessel equipped with a glycol jacket or submerged cooling coil/rod.
Each temperature controller is paired with a dedicated temperature probe. These probes can be conveniently inserted into a thermowell in your vessel, or, in the absence of a thermowell, simply affixed to the exterior of your vessel. As the heart of the system, the digital controller consistently monitors the temperature within your tank and directs the submersible pump to maintain your pre-set optimal temperature. This ensures precision cooling and promotes ideal fermentation conditions for up to two tanks operating separately with one IceMaster Max 2.
The Max 2 is an ideal solution for brewers who operate with one or two fermentation vessels. While its counterparts, the IceMaster 100 and IceMaster Max 4, deliver exceptional chilling power, the Max 2 is tailored to cater to the specific needs of the homebrewer, providing ample cooling capacity without any excess. Moreover, as the most cost-effective glycol chiller in our range, the Max 2 strikes a perfect balance between performance and value.
With the added convenience of built-in submersible pumps and controllers, there's no need for additional pump kit purchases. The IceMaster Max 2 embodies a complete, ready-to-operate cooling system, offering ease, efficiency, and precision control in your brewing process. Experience the difference with the IceMaster Max 2.
Compatibility
The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built-in cooling jacket, added CoolStix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following sytems and fermenters.
Capacity
It is always difficult to determine exactly how many tanks can be chilled at one time as it depends on what is happening in each tank, if the tank is insulated, and what the ambient temperature is. Cold crashing always requires the most energy and requires tank insulation. We have experimented with capacities and can provide this general guide based on a 75°F ambient and neoprene insulation. Neoprene provides a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation.
At 75°F ambient temperature with neoprene insulation, the Max 2 can cold crash one 1 BBL tank or two tanks up to 15 gallons in size at one time.
Set Up
In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 2 lengths of tubing per vessel. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps.
Specifications:
Note: The new model includes a sightglass that is connected via two plastic Duotight tees. The tees can be attached onto the push tubes on the front of the unit. The sight glass can be fitted between the two tees and plugs need to be inserted on the outward facing openings.
