Technician's Note: The 304 Stainless Steel construction is highly recommended over brass versions if you frequently use "Heavy Duty" caustic cleaners or acid descalers. While chrome-plated brass can eventually pit or peel, exposing lead-bearing brass to your cleaning chemicals, this stainless adapter remains inert. For a leak-proof seal, ensure the internal faucet gasket (friction washer) is in place inside the shank before threading the adapter on; hand-tightening is usually sufficient to prevent bypass leaks during high-pressure recirculating cleans.
