Technician’s Note: Replacing a hose reel spring can be hazardous due to the stored energy. Always follow proper tension-release procedures before opening the reel casing. When installing the new G016684-45, ensure the spring hooks are seated correctly in the arbor to prevent slipping and ensure even tension across the full 50-foot pull.
