The 27.5-inch length is specifically designed to reach the center of standard 60-gallon (225L) wine barrels and large unitank fermenters. Constructed from high-clarity, food-grade BPA-free plastic, it providing a reliable and non-reactive environment for your liquids. Ideal for gravity testing and tasting throughout the aging process.
Cellar Pro-Tip: To use, dip the thief into your vessel and lift; the integrated one-way valve at the bottom will capture the sample. To release the liquid into a glass or testing jar, simply touch the tip of the valve against the bottom of the container. Sanitize the thief with Star San or a cold sulfite solution before every use. The 3-piece design makes it exceptionally easy to store when not in use.
