Weyermann® Floor-Malted Bohemian Pilsner Malt is the authentic choice for producing world-class Czech-style lagers. Kilned from high-quality 2-row Bohemian spring barley using traditional floor-malting techniques, it provides a deep, complex malt aroma with notes of honey, biscuit, and a characteristic "rustic" earthy character. This malt offers superior extract efficiency and the unique protein structure required for the iconic rocky foam and smooth mouthfeel of a traditional Pilsner Urquell-style beer.

Brewery Mash Tip: Floor-malted grains are less "modified" than modern malts; for the most authentic profile, consider a step-mash or a short protein rest at 122-125°F (50-52°C) to ensures a smooth lauter and brilliant clarity. Mash at 148-150°F (64-65°C) for a crisp, well-attenuated finish. This 10 lb bag is the perfect size for a standard 5-gallon batch.
