The SHURflo® 183-150-SS is a commercial-grade, fixed-pressure water regulator designed to protect sensitive beverage equipment from high-pressure spikes and city water fluctuations. Preset to a constant 50 PSI output, this non-adjustable valve ensures that carbonators, coffee brewers, and ice machines receive a steady, safe flow of water. Constructed with a heavy-duty stainless steel body and integrated 3/8" stainless steel hose barbs, this reducer is engineered for maximum corrosion resistance and longevity in high-moisture commercial environments.
- Model: SHURflo 183-150-SS
- Preset Pressure: 50 PSI (Fixed, Non-Adjustable)
- Body Material: 300-Series Stainless Steel
- Inlet/Outlet Connection: 3/8" OD Stainless Steel Hose Barbs
- Function: Pressure surge protection and inlet stabilization
- Application: Soda fountains, espresso machines, and water filtration loops
- Performance: High-flow design minimizes pressure "droop" during peak demand
Technician's Note: This stainless steel reducer is a critical "insurance policy" for your soda carbonator. High city water pressure (often exceeding 80–100 PSI) can bypass the carbonator's internal check valves, causing the tank to flood and stall the pump. By installing this 50 PSI regulator upstream, you ensure the pump only has to overcome a consistent, manageable pressure. For the 3/8" barbs, we recommend using 15.7mm Oetiker clamps to ensure a permanent, leak-proof seal against high-pressure municipal water surges.
