The Taprite Gas Shutoff Valve is a reliable component for gas manifold systems. It features a 1/4" NPT Male inlet for connecting to the manifold and a 1/4" Male Flare (MFL) outlet for attaching gas lines. This model features a high-quality ball mechanism for a smooth, positive shut-off, allowing you to isolate individual keg lines during maintenance or tank changes. This "no check valve" version provides an unrestricted flow path, ideal for high-volume gas distribution or purging applications.
Technician's Note: Use high-quality PTFE tape on the 1/4" NPT threads to ensures a gas-tight seal to the manifold. The 1/4" MFL side does not require tape; use a standard nylon flare washer inside your swivel nut for a leak-proof connection. Because this valve lacks a check valve, ensure the gas pressure is always higher than the keg pressure to prevent beer backflow into the regulator.
