This fitting features a 1/4" barb on one end and a 5/16" barb on the other, allowing you to transition between standard line sizes without bulky adapters. Technician's Note: This is a "step-down" splicer ideal for connecting a standard 5/16" gas supply line to a 3/16" or 1/4" ID beverage line for purging or cleaning. To ensure a 100% leak-proof seal, always use a dedicated tube cutter for a square cut and secure both sides with Oetiker stepless clamps or stainless steel worm-gear clamps.
