The #5 Rubber Stopper is a versatile closure designed to fit a variety of standard glass carboys, jugs, and laboratory flasks. Made from high-quality, food-grade white rubber, it provides a 100% airtight and liquid-tight seal. This model features a pre-drilled center hole, specifically sized to accommodate standard twin-bubble or 3-piece airlocks. Its tapered design ensuring a snug fit that protects your beverage from oxygen and airborne contaminants during active fermentation.
Brewery Tip: To ensures a perfect seal, always ensure both the stopper and the vessel neck are dry before insertion. If the stopper keeps "slipping out" due to pressure, wipe the neck with a dry, sanitized cloth. Sanitize with Star San or IO-Star before every use. This size is commonly used for 1-gallon glass jugs and 2000ml Erlenmeyer flasks.
