The Micro Matic MMPP4305-PKG is a 37-inch air-cooled glycol power pack engineered for high-capacity commercial draft beer cooling. 7,250 BTU of cooling capacity, 1 HP compressor, and dual pumps for independent glycol circuits make it the right size for multi-zone draft installations: brewpubs with long-draw trunk lines, beer halls with multiple tower clusters, and any operation pushing beer more than 20 feet from cold storage to faucet.

Sizing the Right Power Pack

BTU requirement scales with line length, number of taps, ambient temperature in the trunk run, and how cold the beer needs to land at the faucet. As a rough rule, 1,000 BTU per 50 feet of insulated trunk line per tap, plus overhead for the tower cooling. The MMPP4305 with 7,250 BTU handles roughly 30-40 taps in a typical brewpub configuration, or a single dense tower cluster with a 100+ foot trunk run.

Dual Pump Advantage

Two independent pumps mean two independent glycol loops. Run one to the tower bank and one to a remote cold-room cooler, or split between two separate tower clusters. If one pump fails, the other keeps the second loop running while you service the first - critical for high-revenue draft operations where downtime kills the bar's margin for an entire shift.

Air-Cooled Condenser

Air-cooled is the right call for most installs: easier to install, no water hookup, lower install cost. Make sure the install location has at least 12 inches of clearance on the condenser side for airflow, and ambient room temperature stays under 95 F. For tight spaces or hot mechanical rooms, look at water-cooled variants.

Install Notes

Requires standard 115V or 208V single-phase electric (check unit nameplate). Pairs with Micro Matic glycol-cooled trunk lines, tower bases, and FOB stops. Glycol fill (food-grade propylene glycol) sold separately. Install and commissioning by a qualified draft tech recommended.
