The Manitowoc Ice IDT0450A/D400 Indigo NXT™ ice maker with bin can make 470 pounds of dice ice every 24 hours. A touchscreen display ensures straightforward operation when setting the desired volume or limiting production to certain times of day. Each full-size cube measures 7⁄8 inch on each side, and an ice-sensing probe checks the thickness to ensure consistency and proper operation despite discrepancies in water quality.
The Manitowoc Ice IDT0450A ice machine continuously monitors itself, providing maintenance alerts and issue diagnostics as needed. If the unit needs to be cleaned, operators can open the front panel and remove parts from the food zone. Doing this enables thorough cleaning around components and prevents ice from tasting dirty.
As ice is made, it falls into the Manitowoc Ice D400 ice bin, where it is preserved until needed. The bin has insulation in its sides and door to block out heat. Its door features built-in side grips, enabling operators to open it from the side, and its latching mechanism keeps it open for full access to ice. This unit comes with a large, 5.3-pound-capacity ice scoop. Guards on the handle prevent skin from touching and contaminating ice in the bin.
