The Lancer Ice Machine Adapter Kit (82-4060) is a specialized mounting and sealing assembly used to integrate a separate ice machine head onto a Lancer IBD dispenser. It provides the necessary structural support to distribute the weight of the ice machine and the gaskets required to create an airtight seal at the top of the ice bin.
Problem Solved: This kit prevents 'sweating' and moisture leaks at the top of the dispenser. Without a proper adapter, warm air enters the ice bin, causing the ice to melt rapidly and potentially allowing water to leak into the dispenser's motor compartment.
Technician’s Note: Never use standard silicone caulk in place of the factory gaskets. Silicone can fail over time and become a breeding ground for mold. Use the gaskets provided in this kit and ensure the ice machine is centered to avoid mechanical interference with the agitator.
