The GrainFather Hop Spider is a professional-grade filter designed to keep hop trub out of your pump and chiller. Constructed from high-quality 304 stainless steel with a fine micro-mesh, it allows wort to flow freely for efficient extraction while containing hop pellets and whole cones. This results in a much clearer finished beer and prevents clogs in your brewing system's pump and counter-flow chiller. The adjustable hook design fits securely onto the rim of the GrainFather G30 and most other brew kettles.

Brewery Pro-Tip: To maximize hop utilization, do not over-pack the spider; ensure there is enough room for the wort to circulate through the hops. After the boil, lift the spider and allow it to drain completely before discarding the hops. The stainless steel mesh is exceptionally easy to clean—simply rinse with a high-pressure hose or soak in PBW to remove hop oils.
