Technician's Note: This hex plug is a "must-have" for any draught technician's service kit. It is the fastest way to safely bypass a leaking secondary regulator or cap off a CO2 manifold port that is not currently in use. When installing into a brass or stainless manifold, always apply 2–3 wraps of PTFE thread tape (Teflon tape) or a small amount of food-grade pipe dope to the threads. This ensures a gas-tight seal and prevents "galling," making it much easier to remove the plug later if you decide to expand your beverage system.
