Overview

The FBD 774 is a 4-barrel commercial frozen carbonated beverage (FCB) dispenser that pours 4 flavors with a continuous draw of up to 5,160 oz/hr — built to keep up with peak-rush demand.

Frozen carbonated beverages are one of the highest-margin programs in foodservice (roughly 50% CO2, 40% water, 10% syrup), with easy maintenance for locations that run lean on staff.

Engineered for convenience stores, quick-serve restaurants, movie theaters, and entertainment venues that need recovery speed and uptime through the rush.

Frequently asked questions

What electrical supply does the FBD 774 need?

FBD specifies 230 VAC ±10% at 60 Hz, 30 A (3,240 W), with a NEMA L6-30R 3-wire receptacle. A buck-boost transformer or AVR is required where supply voltage falls outside the ±10% range.

How much space does the air-cooled 774 take up?

It is 26.0 in wide and 32.5 in deep, and 34.0 in, 41.4 in or 43.54 in high depending on whether it has the short, tall or video door. FBD lists minimum clearance of 3 in at the back and sides. Above the unit it lists 12 in where the sides or back are open to the air and 36 in in an equipment alcove.

What water, CO2 and syrup supplies does it need?

A 3/8 in water supply line with at least 30 PSIG flowing pressure, CO2 at 70 to 72 PSIG maximum, and syrup at 70 to 72 PSIG from bag-in-box connections for four base syrups.

How often does the 774 need cleaning and sanitizing?

FBD's manual calls for cleaning the exterior daily with a mild soap solution and cleaning the air filter monthly, or every two weeks in dusty or greasy locations. FBD recommends sanitizing the dispenser annually or after it has been out of operation for an extended period.

How does defrost work on the 774?

Product in the barrel is defrosted periodically because ice crystals grow over time and degrade the texture of the drink. A defrost takes about eight to twelve minutes and can be started manually, run on a schedule of up to eight per barrel per day, or adjusted automatically to customer activity.
