CTZ (Columbus, Tomahawk, and Zeus) is the definitive bittering hop for American craft brewing. These 8 oz hop pellets deliver a powerful, pungent profile with intense notes of black pepper, citrus, and herbal "dankness." With an exceptionally high alpha-acid content, CTZ is primarily used for early-boil additions to provide a clean, robust bitterness, but it also shines as a late addition or dry hop in West Coast IPAs and Imperial Stouts.
Hop Master Tip: For a classic West Coast "dank" IPA, use CTZ at the 60-minute mark for bittering and again as a whirlpool addition. These 8 oz packs are nitrogen-flushed and vacuum-sealed to preserve the heavy essential oils. Store in the freezer once opened to prevent oxidation and loss of alpha-acid potency.
