The T&S Brass EC-HYDROGEN-LF HydroGenerator is a sustainable power solution specifically designed for low-flow electronic sensor faucets. This compact unit harvests electrical energy from water movement as low as 0.5 GPM, charging an internal capacitor that powers the faucet's infrared sensor and solenoid. By eliminating the need for periodic battery changes and high-voltage AC power under the sink, the EC-HYDROGEN-LF significantly reduces both maintenance labor and environmental waste. It is a critical component for high-traffic facilities looking to achieve peak green building performance.
Technician’s Note: The "LF" (Low-Flow) version is optimized for fixtures with 0.5 GPM or 1.0 GPM aerators. During installation, ensure the generator is mounted vertically to maximize the turbine's efficiency. For new installs, allow the water to run for 60 seconds to provide the initial charge required for the sensor system to activate.
