Briess CBW® Pilsen Light LME (Liquid Malt Extract) is a 100% pure malt extract made from 99% Pilsner Malt and 1% Carapils® Malt. This bulk 32 lb "growler" is the most cost-effective solution for high-volume extract brewing. At 2 Lovibond, it produces a very pale, crisp wort with a clean, delicate maltiness. It is the perfect foundation for Pilsners, Lagers, and Light Ales, or for use as a gravity booster in all-grain batches without changing the flavor profile.
Brewery Tip: Bulk LME is highly viscous; for the easiest pouring, soak the 32 lb container in warm water for 20 minutes before use. Once opened, keep the lid tightly sealed and store in a cool, dark place. LME will gradually darken over time (Maillard reaction), so use the bulk container within 3-6 months for the lightest color results.
