Briess CBW® Bavarian Wheat DME (Dry Malt Extract) is a 100% pure malt extract derived from a traditional blend of 65% wheat malt and 35% barley malt. This bulk 50 lb bag is ideal for high-volume breweries producing Hefeweizens, American Wheat beers, or for boosting the gravity and head retention of any ale. It provides a characteristic malty, wheat flavor and a clean, creamy finish. This DME is non-diastatic and fully fermentable, ensuring consistent results in every batch.

Brewery Pro-Tip: To prevent clumping when adding DME to your kettle, turn off the heat source and whisk the extract into warm (not boiling) water first. DME is highly hygroscopic; ensure the bag is tightly resealed and stored in a cool, dry place to prevent it from hardening into a solid block.
