The T&S Brass B-3992-5X Modular Waste Drain is a heavy-duty solution for high-volume commercial scullery sinks requiring remote drainage control. This unit features a 3-1/2" sink opening and a 2" NPT male outlet (with 1-1/2" female internal threads) for maximum plumbing flexibility. The specialized 5" handle extension allows for easy operation in deep-well sinks or through thick cabinetry. Constructed from heavy-duty cast bronze and stainless steel, it is engineered to withstand the rigorous daily use and hot water temperatures common in professional kitchens.
Technician’s Note: Handle extensions are critical for ADA compliance and ergonomic access in deep industrial basins. During installation, ensure the plunger and seat are properly aligned to ensure a watertight seal. Periodically lubricate the handle mechanism with food-grade grease to maintain smooth operation. The 2" NPT outlet provides the high-volume drainage required for massive pots and prep containers.
