First, I've tried 3 of these and all suffer from the same problem and issues. These cannot be used on a glass top stove. The bottom is slightly convex making them wobble very aggressively when the heat is applied. It dances around to the point I was concerned it would break the glass top. I'm sure this is only an issue with glass top stoves. The teflon tape is applied a bit excessively and has to be removed unless you want teflon tape floating in your brew. Having said the above, I do like it and if needed would by again from Keg Factory. Forget about and support from Chapman though. Never replied to my email....No phone number either that I could find.

pman This was my upgrade from fermenting in a plastic bucket style fermenters! Was looking initially at carboy's (glass and Plastic, Wide Mouth and Traditional) and ran into Keg Factory offering a Stainless Steel Bucket with a sealable, clamp down lid and 3-piece valve. I was amazed at the value and that I could use this Chapman Univessel for multiple steps in the Brew Day, including, brew pot. HLT, Fermenter.... It was a no brainer for me and my needs. I just brewed an Extract w/Specialty Grains in the Chapman Univessel and didn't have to transfer to fermenter, just cooled to temp, pitched yeast and clamped down lid, set the stopper and airlock. One Univessel! My shipment arrived fastand packaged perfectly. SS looked sharp and the Ball valve was already installed and no leaks. Thank you Keg Factory and Thank you Chapman Univessel! P.S. The stamped 5 Gal marker was 24 oz (3 Cups) off (above); I can handle the difference for my 5 Gal batches.

Arrived in a timely fashion. The kettle is well made, the only complaint and it is a minor one is the ball valve is not the best machined, but for the cost of this kettle that can be excused.
