The Wayland Industries W619MPX-6 is a 6-inch tri-clamp x schedule 10 adapter machined from T316L low-carbon stainless steel. It bridges a sanitary tri-clamp connection on one side to a standard schedule 10 pipe weld on the other, the workhorse fitting in any sanitary process pipework where a brewery, distillery, or dairy needs to transition from clamp connections to welded pipe.

Why T316L Stainless

T316L is the standard for sanitary process work. The L (low carbon, less than 0.03 percent) eliminates carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone of welds, which means it can be welded into a pipe spool without losing corrosion resistance. T316 adds molybdenum to the 304 base alloy, which is what gives it the ability to stand up to repeated CIP / SIP cycles, caustic and acid cleaning, and chloride exposure from sanitizers like StarSan.

Sizing

The 6 inch nominal designation refers to the schedule 10 pipe side. The tri-clamp side mates to standard 6 inch tri-clamp ferrules. Confirm the schedule 10 OD (6.625 inch, 0.134 inch wall) matches your existing pipe spec before ordering.
