The Wayland W6BFVTC-E-6-SRO is a 6-inch sanitary tri-clamp butterfly valve with a vertical canister spring-return pneumatic actuator. T316L stainless steel body, EPDM seal, normally-open configuration. The workhorse automated isolation valve in any brewery, distillery, or dairy where pneumatic control replaces a manual handle on transfer lines, CIP loops, and process headers.

Spring Return Normally Open

A spring-return actuator drives the valve to one position (open, in this case) when pneumatic pressure is removed - fail-safe behavior for any line that should default open if compressed air supply is lost. The opposite configuration (normally closed) is appropriate for lines that should isolate on air loss, like product fill points. Choose the orientation that matches your process safety logic.

EPDM Seal Selection

EPDM is the sanitary-process default seal material - good chemical resistance to CIP caustic and acid, broad temperature range, and food-safe. For high-heat (steam SIP) or aggressive solvent exposure, consider Viton or PTFE alternatives. EPDM should not be used with fats and oils (use Viton or silicone instead).

T316L Stainless

Low-carbon 316 stainless is the sanitary process standard. The L grade eliminates carbide precipitation in welds, so this valve can be installed inline with welded schedule 10 or schedule 40 pipework without losing corrosion resistance. Pairs with standard 6-inch tri-clamp ferrules, gaskets, and clamps.

Pneumatic Air Supply

Vertical canister actuator requires clean, dry compressed air (typically 60-80 PSI). Add a 5-port pilot solenoid for PLC or BMS control. Mounting brackets and limit switches sold separately.
