This brand new 5 lb aluminum CO2 tank ships free in the 48 contiguous states. Aluminum tanks will never rust, which is why we prefer them over steel tanks. The capacity refers to the amount of compressed (liquified) CO2 the tank can hold. 5 lbs of CO2 is enough to dispense 8 to 9 5-gallon kegs of homebrew.

CO2 tanks should always be stored in an upright position.
