The Wayland Industries 4" Butterfly Valve with Spring-Return Actuator is a heavy-duty sanitary component for automated large-scale brewery and food processing systems. This massive 4-inch valve features a vertical pneumatic canister that is Normally Closed (NC), providing a critical fail-safe that automatically shuts the valve if air pressure is lost. Constructed from 304 stainless steel with high-temperature Viton (FKM) seals, it offers superior resistance to oils and high-heat chemicals.
Technician's Note: This pneumatic valve requires a clean, regulated air supply (approx. 80-100 PSI) and a pilot solenoid for operation. Due to the size of the 4" disc, ensure the line is depressurized before manual overrides to prevent seal damage. The Viton seals are ideal for high-temp wort or fatty liquid food products.
