HVAC Pressure Switches

Refrigerant pressure switches open the control circuit when system pressure moves outside its set range — the compressor's protection against a blocked high side, a lost charge or a dead condenser fan. Open and close setpoints are listed on every switch that states them: low pressure from 5/20 up to 40/80 PSI, high pressure from 350/250 to 600/475 PSI, fan cycling from 150/225 to 210/275 PSI, and a 410 PSI manual reset.

Also here: adjustable air pressure switches covering .25 to 1.0 in. and 1.0 to 4.0 in. water column, a furnace vent switch, and a Johnson Controls electronic control with a field-selectable 0 to 750 PSI range and an SPDT relay. Most of the refrigerant switches are SPST, encapsulated and non-adjustable on a 1/4 in. female SAE direct mount — which makes the setpoint pair the whole decision. Match open and close to the equipment, not just to the part that came out.
