Brazing Alloy, Solder & Flux

Brazing alloy, solder and flux for refrigeration and copper line work. Silver content across the rod range runs from 0% up to 56%, in 1/16 in., 1/8 in., .050 x 1/8 in., .090 in. and 2 mm sizes, on 18 in., 20 in. and 15-3/4 in. sticks and in packs from 1 oz to 5 oz. Every alloy page lists its silver content, solidus and liquidus temperatures and AWS classification, so you can match a rod to the joint instead of guessing from the box.

Solder here covers 50/50 tin-lead, lead-free tin-antimony and silver-bearing paste. Flux is stocked in 4, 16 and 32 oz. For aluminum, the zinc-aluminum rods — 78% zinc / 22% aluminum and 98% zinc / 2% aluminum — flow between 710°F and 900°F, against 1,145°F to 1,500°F for the copper alloys.
